Honey Bee Removal

Andover Pest Control Inc Bee & Wasp Removal Bee and wasp infestations can be particularly troubling because of the painful sting they can deliver and they can be very harmful to those who are allergic to the venom. Many times bees start outside the home by building a nest underneath mobile homes, in between roofing beams, or in attics or sheds. Often bees will seek out a house when a hive splits and they need a new home. Honey bees can also build honeycombs and even produce honey that can ooze in and around your walls. They can also lay eggs and produce more bees. Bees and wasps usually make themselves easily visible and the hum of their buzzing is unmistakable. The weight of the honeycomb can damage walls, and honey and wax can stain. They also produce a distinct, strong odor. These insects can get in through open window sills, doorways, holes in screens, and cracks or open spaces. Like ants, they are also attracted to sweet substances and odorous trash. Andover Pest Control Inc asks that you do not attempt to remove bees yourself. We will find the hive and remove it and the bees. We locate the bees and emit a smoke substance to calm the bees. Most of the time honeybees are building their hive inside walls and behind brick where they find voids to build. With this in mind your home may require some light carpentry/mason work, which Andover Pest will provide an estimate for the entire process from start to finish. Once a bee colony is located APC will remove the Queen, workers and the honeycomb safely so they are not harmed. Honeybees help pollinate 40%% of the crops that provide food for us, so they should not be harmed. We also take measures to dry up the nest and honeycomb and clean up any honey or droppings. Unlike other pests, where and when bees invade is mostly up to chance, so you most likely did nothing wrong to get bees in your home. With over 20,000 species of bees it can be hard for you to properly ID which types need to be exterminated and which ones need to be protected by safe removal. We advise people to call our office before you take actions such as sealing off entry points or spraying chemicals at bees/wasps before they are properly identified.

  • We had a bat in our house. I called Mike and he responded right away (which was at 4 in the morning). He came right over. He had warned me that it might be hard to find since I had lost sight of it. He searched my house high and low without finding it that morning. He told me to call him right away when I had eyes on it again. A few hours later, at noon, I heard it in my kitchen. He was at my house in minutes looking again, but was unsuccessful because I hadn't actually seen it. The next night we finally saw it again and he once again returned to my house in minutes. He captured the bat within five minutes. He was so thorough each time he searched. He was professional and most importantly reliable. I would recommend him to anyone and would use him again in the future for all my pest control needs.

  • This is my third time using them. Every time has been a GREAT experience!! Top notch people and company. Previously we had Mike and another guy and they were able to track down the path and source of the ants. They resolved the issue and we have not seen an ant in the house for about 2 years. We saw a couple this past month and we called Andover Pest Control again. Matt came out and investigated for issues and the path. He explained and showed me the issues. He treated the entire house and the path of ants. He also identified where a woodpecker is attacking our house to feed on the insects. He gave me some great ideas if the woodpecker comes back. Matt was awesome. If you have any pest issues, you should call Andover Pest Control. I AM!!

  • First ants, then mites. I had a bad carpenter ant problem this year. We see them every year, but this was unprecedented. Mike called me back quickly and the exterminator arrived on time. Took a little more than 2 weeks, but we haven't seen a single one since, inside or out. When I found something that looked like termites, I called them up again. Once again, on time and professional. Just mites, thankfully. I'll have to add honesty to their list of qualities.

  • Mike from Andover Pest Control was great! He came within 45 minutes of my phone call on a Saturday. I called four other places and couldn't even get a person to answer a phone at that time. While he was at our house he took care of three large wasp nests. Mike even went a step further for us and used spray foam to block off the place where the wasps were entering the house so we didn't have to worry about them coming back. He also found a bat in the attic that we didn't even know was there. Mike was friendly, knowledgeable, and his pricing was excellent for the immediate service that we received. We will absolutely be using him again in the future and recommend his services to others.
